Oil to kWh is 10,25. Ten is used.
My oil footprint is from now on 120.000 kWh down per 4 years since 2012 to forever.
After my next car ( be it ZOE, BMWi3 , e-Golf or maybe e-Lada ) and a supporting battery even the traditional kilowatts will diminish.
Regarding economy. Present and future cash flows and future diminished inheritance taxes will balance everything. A solid brick house and the 180m deep dug Thermo Well outlives a few ownerships. Money well invested I feel.
Importance of Elelectric Transport and Sustainable, Diversified Energy
Mopeds, Vans and Busses would have been a better flow order, but Tesla shook the assets of moneymaking high end car production. Now recreation supersedes utilities.
The Facts that everybody feel to know about EV´s are:
Not enough driving distance covered, expensive, no charging, try hard and you will remember the fourth, cold temperatures+ heating. The media has a fabulous power of depositing negative matters to its followers. Reality has have changed but the facts once deposited in ones mind keep on living. Try to rethink. Begin
with the last. Our Loviisa e-taxi Immo gave me a warm ride at -20C.
" Do not make a mountain out of a molehill" since you get what you pay.
A Tesla rules distance race till now. But customers even need 150-200-300 and 400 km models. Divide your annual mileage per days. A wide variety of models EV-models to meet most needs exist already. Take the news from VOLVO. e-Smart, e-VW Up...
Or what happens with e-Dacia and e-Lada due to Nissan and Renault connection.
There will be an EV for every purse and mileage.
By now everybody should know that EV´s are less expensive to build.
Battery weight corresponds to engine etc. heavy components.
Pay attention to battery volume/ kilos and kW.
And remember, you can charge the battery while you sleep. Do not waste effective working hours waiting for fast charge queueing.
Easy secret figures to know: 3.6 kW*365*8 =10.512 kWh per year.
At 20.000 km your e-Golf needs 2.540 kWh. Your apartment house can supply your own 3.6 kW Finpilar charge box. It delivers you all those 2.540 kWh
in the outdoor pole or in the garage during a 4 hour sleep a night. Actually four hours per night is enough for 40.000 km. Pls. compute, e-Golf needs 12,7 kWh/100 km
